You could also go to snapfish and upload photos and create gifts there….. mousepads, aprons for grilling, notepads, hats, puzzles, etc….. that would be cute, too.

If you want something COMPLETELY hand made, I would do the good old cooked dinner, handmade card, and maybe a big picture frame of a collage of photos of you guys.

You've obviously never had someone you love or care about have a medical issue and not have the medical insurance to get the proper care. You've never seen someone not take proper care of themselves because they can't afford the medication and pay the bills. I have, and let me tell you, it's pretty devastating to watch someone who was NEVER lazy a day in their life get sick and be unable to get the proper care. Someone I care about very much lost his insurance because his employer couldn't afford the premiums and didn't tell him, then he got sick and when he got insurance again, it was considered a "preexisting condition."

Yes, there is insurance in every state to pay for health care for minor children, but what happens when they turn 18? In case you hadn't noticed, the best jobs are being outsourced out of the country, you know, the jobs that have health care benefits? What 18 year old is going to get a job like that?

How old are you anyway? Your smug attitude is just above and beyond. I'd like to see how you would react if you had your precious health care discontinued because YOUR precious employer couldn't afford to pay the benefits because they were too busy paying your salary.

next, fengshui is also not a decorating style, and not about arrangement of furnitures – if it were the case, then many of us will be millionaires, but most people on earth are not.

so what is fengshui?

fengshui is difficult to explain per se. but in its simplest sense, fengshui is, according to my fengshui master, knowing where the good energy is, then you need to go there or face that direction so you can use it to improve/ optimize your life.

thousands of years ago, some chinese people observe how nature affects man. so as a result of this observations, the fengshui methods are devised. first it was used to increase crop yield. later it was used to win wars. now, it is again adapted for everyday living.

imagine your house (not bedroom) is a box. energies enter the main front door and goes through the different spaces inside the house. these energies reacts and interacts with one another forming new energy, which is distinct and has its own characteristics. these characteristics determine whether this energy is good for us or bad for us. going back to my master's notion of fengshui – you need to live more in spaces with good energy, like make these spaces into the bedroom, kitchen, living room or rooms where you spend most of your time; while leaving the spaces with bad energy as toilets, garage and storage – rooms less used. when you live more in a certain space – you activate the energy that exist in it and your life use that energy, so the characteristics of that energy becomes your life. so fengshui is in a way the manipulation of life.

there are many fengshui methods out there like flying stars, 8 mansions, etc. the problem with the methods is that there are no 1 book that explains all of the methods. there are a few books that explains 1 method, but none explains the advanced uses of that method.

again people want a quick fix. and fengshui is not a quick fix.

the bagua method – dividing the space into sections – is not one of the methods, at least no fengshui master that has a long history in the business of fengshui teach it.

Do me a favour- grab your sister. Shake her and tell her to get a fecking grip!!! This man is only going to batter her again and again…Take her to a counsellor and make sure she gets the help she needs.

edit- if you've tried twice then its time to take more drastic action. I would use the internet and collect stories of domestic abuse victims. I'd go as far as contacting a local women's centre and making her go see them. She needs someone to listen to her side of it, until people listen to how she feels she won't bother taking advice.

if that fails, you can buy the unlocking codes on the internet for five bucks or so.

I did both of those in High School. I went from being completely fat and out of shape, to being on the Track team doing the Mile Run and being Shotput captain.

I posted Arnold Schwarzenegger's autobiography in the Source. That was the book that really inspired me to get in shape. Includes workout routines, diets, his success/failure stories… everything. A well-recommended buy.

Here's a few other tips:

(a) Weigh yourself every day. On the SAME scale. It doesn't matter if it's really accurate, just so long as it's the same one.

(b) Weigh yourself at the SAME TIME every day. What you're wearing can throw your weight off too. I always weigh myself after I get out of the shower, before I put any clothes on.

To actually lose weight, here's what will work best:

1. No need for a super-intense workout. Just make sure you do it EVERY DAY. I would suggest doing The Plank for 30 seconds (see link in Source), then going for a run around the block.

2. Running is the best and quickest way to drop pounds.

3. Stop eating sugar. It's hard to do, but it works, and it works FAST. When you eat sweets, it makes your blood sugar spike (go really high and you feel hyper), but then it DROPS really quickly, making you feel HUNGRY. Potatoes and white bread have similar effects.

4. Change your SNACKING habits. Instead of eating chips, try crackers. I usually eat a pack of Keebler Cheese on Wheat crackers. That way you're eating a pre-defined amount.

5. Chew gum. A lot of times you'll want to eat just so your mouth has something to do, or you're bored. Gum has (almost) no calories, and is better than snacking.

Instead of going with the traditional resume format, I suggest using a "FUNCTIONAL" format. This really allows you to showcase your skills (such as leadership and communication).
